    This newer housing which I installed is noticeably better than the stock trunk light housing used on VAG 2.0 India-spec cars. While both units are OEM, the plastic quality on the newer housing feels better for some reason .

    I replaced the stock trunk light with a T10 LED, and one major issue this housing addresses is light leakage. The stock lamp housing has an open back, which allows light to spill into the surrounding trunk plastic trims. While this isn’t a functional problem, it does appear cheap and unfinished, particularly at night.

    The new housing features a proper rear cover, which completely eliminates this light bleed and results in a cleaner, more refined illumination.
