Does this plug directly into my factory HID ballast?
No. This kit is a direct-wire ballast bypass LED. The plug CANNOT be connected to the high-voltage socket of the original HID ballast. The red (+) and black (-) wires must be connected directly to the vehicle's 12V power feed before the ballast.
Do I need to physically remove my vehicle's factory ballast?
No, you do not need to remove the original ballast. You simply disconnect or bypass it. In many vehicles, the ballast forms part of the headlight housing's weather seal and should remain in place to keep the headlight watertight.
Which D-Series bulb sockets does this conversion kit replace?
It replaces D1S, D1H, D2S, D2H, D2R, D3S, D3H, D3R, D4S, D4R, D5S, and D8S bulbs in OEM projector and reflector headlight housings that have adequate clearance for the LED heat sink and cooling fan.
Why is 4300K Warm White recommended for HID conversion?

Will this conversion trigger dashboard bulb-out error warnings?
The kit features integrated Canbus decoders designed to prevent bulb-out errors and flickering on most vehicles. Some sensitive European vehicles may require additional external resistors or decoders depending on how the CAN system monitors headlight circuits.

Powered by 15-core CSP 4070 LED chipsets delivering a potent 80W per bulb (160W pair), this kit produces a strong, focused beam pattern engineered specifically for OEM HID projector and reflector housings.

Featuring 4300K Warm White illumination, it matches OEM factory xenon color temperature while providing superior road penetration in rain, dense fog, and adverse weather without harsh glare or eye fatigue.

⚠️ Important Installation Notice: Ballast Bypass Required

This kit is a direct-wire D-Series LED replacement and MUST NOT be plugged into the factory OEM HID ballast.

  • No Ballast Connection: This bulb does not connect to the high-voltage ballast socket. High voltage from an active ballast will damage the LED.
  • Direct 12V Power Wire: The LED operates on standard 12V vehicle power via two direct wires:
    • Red wire: Connect to vehicle's +12V positive feed (before the ballast).
    • Black wire: Connect to vehicle's negative / ground (-) feed.
  • Factory Ballast: Must be disconnected or bypassed. You do not need to physically remove the factory ballast from the headlight housing if it maintains the housing's weather seal.

I ordered the Durvient 150W warm white LEDs for my Skoda Octavia MK3, and I’m really impressed with the performance. The brightness is excellent, and the throw is very good, giving much better visibility at night compared to stock bulbs. The warm white color looks premium and is comfortable for long drives.

The build quality of the product feels solid, and the LEDs seem well-made. Installation was easy, and they fit perfectly without any issues. Overall, a great upgrade for anyone looking for brighter and better-quality lights for their Octavia.
